UBD Library is pleased to announce a complimentary access to Device (see above) in ScienceDirect. Please follow the steps below to access:

1. Please go to Open Athens website: https://my.openathens.net
2. Click sign in
3. On the institution part: type in “Universiti Brunei Darussalam”
4. Sign-in as per your UBD email login. (use your UBD email address and password)
5. Once successful, it will direct you to our databases including Device Journal.

The Device Journal is available until 1st May 2024.

Soft Launching of Learning Common Area & Workshop

20th September 2023 – UBD Library launched a new Library Learning Common area and Prayer Rooms on 20th September 2023. It was officiated by Dr. Hazri bin Haji Kifle, the Vice Chancellor of UBD, who was also the guest of honour for the event. He also went for a guided tour by Haji Awang Muhammad Yussuf bin POKIDDP Haji Awang Musa, Assistant Chief Librarian. The ceremony was also attended by the UBD officers, UBD Library officers and Staff.

The Soft Launching Ceremony was followed by a workshop entitled: “Futuring Together” which was facilitated by Professor Dr. Noor Azam, Dean of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE), and SeDIA Team.

The Office of Strategy, Delivery and Institutional Advancement (SeDIA), with University-wide perspective, functions to plan new initiatives, follow up and track existing programmes and initiatives, and ensure that all University programmes in governance, teaching, learning, research and services are of the highest quality.

The objective of the workshop was to foster an environment for collaborative thinking and gain invaluable insights on topics that will shape our future endeavors.
