A few selected UBD Library Officers and Staff attended ‘Seminar Kebangsaan Pembantu Pustakwan 2023: Literasi Digital Pemangkin Profesionalisme Pembantu Perpustakaan Nusantara’ for 2 consecutive days from 22nd to 23rd August 2023.

On Wednesday, 23rd August 2023, during the second day of the event, Dyg Nur Hairunnnisa binti Abd Razak, a Library Assistant Grade 1 representing the UBD Library, participated as a guest panelist in the Hybrid session titled ‘Digital Skills Demands and Employment Challenges: Sharing Experiences’ via the Webex online application.

She has shared some of her experiences with other libraries on how to handle the challenges, digital literacy skills, and problem-solving solutions that are needed when working in the ever-evolving digital world of the library field. As well as how to create creative content and ways to attract audiences for the library’s social media.

21st August 2023-Springer Nature had organized the Online Quizzes with UBD Library.

22nd August 2023- Post-graduate students, academic and librarians attended the “Emerald: Guide to Getting publishing” and “Let’s Explore Emerald Insight” webinar by Bernice Wong, Business Manager, Emerald Publishing.

The objective was to teach users finding the right journal, journal aims, per review process, learning to navigate Emerald Database, search, advance search, filter and getting the best research and teaching resources.

This webinar was jointly organised with Emerald and UBD Library.
