Service Desk

There are three service desks located at the Main Library:

Important note: 

Service desks will cease operations 15 minutes prior to the library's closing time. 

 

Lending Services Desk (Ground Floor)   

 

The Lending Services Desk serves as the central hub for patrons to borrow and return library materials and IT peripherals, reserve discussion rooms, settle fines and other charges, apply for library membership, and complete clearance procedures (deletion of patron data in the Library Management System) prior to convocation. 

 

 

Reference Services Desk (Ground Floor)   

 

The Reference Services Desk aids with information inquiries and research support. This includes assistance with online searches for resource materials, access to academic databases, and document delivery services (DDS). Staff at this desk also manage chat services via social media, the library portal, and WhatsApp. Additionally, requests for Information & Digital Literacy Skills (IDSL) classes, as well as other learning and research support sessions, can be made through the Reference Services Desk. 

 

 

Brunei Studies Services Desk (Third Floor)  

 

The Brunei Studies Services Desk specializes in lending and returning materials from the Brunei Studies Collection. Certain items, such as manuscripts, rare books, restricted materials, newspapers, and theses, are for in-house use only and cannot be taken out of the library. Requests to access the media viewing room, manuscript room, and discussion room can also be made at this desk.
